(Solved) Issues with capturing

(Solved) Issues with capturing

Postby steeltofu » Tue 6. Jun 2017, 16:17

Hi,

I received my 3ds with capture card today, all happy and stuff, installed the software and the drivers.
When i tried to get the capturing going, all i got was a black screen, and i couldn't hear a thing.

I really want to get it going, but i just can't seem to figure it out.
Can someone please help me?

EDIT: i figured i used a different driver than provided on this site, i uninstalled the driver i did and used the provided files for drivers, but now when that is finished device manager is telling me that it is still an unknown device.

You can try one of this versions, they are for a NEW 3DS:
http://www.merki.net/tmp/new3dsview_2016.07.13.zip
http://www.merki.net/tmp/new3dsview_2017.04.20.zip

EDIT: corrected that, I had a typo in the link :(

Also just contacted Katsukity to see If he has a solution for that. Your device has been tested and worked fine here.
So please do not worry, we will sort this out.

Well i tried those drivers and programs, but the drivers just won't work, when i double click them, they immidiatly say that it is installed and the 3ds is still a unknown driver.
I tried a different driver with the other programs, and i still get the same result.

try a different usb port, also disable a antivirus program while you are installing the driver.
If you can start the viewer software and see a device Id the driver is installed fine.
To do that, goto the menu file, then check device ID.
The software does flash/upload at start the firmware for the device every time. So the name will change at the device manager

Yes it is twice there - once on the invoice and once at a separate letter.
Make sure you only enter the key not the device id.

Yeah.
It worked, i asked a friend of mine who also bought one here.
And he directed me to a version from katsukity, http://katsukity.co.jp/3dsview.zip, and that worked perfectly.
But thanks for the help anyway.
I love it when companies give quick support.
