[My Feedback] Amazing First Day with the 3DS Capture Card

Postby Deckerd » Fri 27. May 2016, 09:46

Hi Stefan & Neil!

I'd like to thank you both for the timely fashion in which you shipped my order. I ordered the 3DS on Monday, 23rd May and received it on Thursday, 26th May and the constant communication with me and all my questions.

My experience with the 3DS Capture Card has been nothing but amazing on my first day. Being able to play the 3ds on my monitor in fullscreen with zero delay is awesome!

I livestreamed over on http://www.twitch.tv/deckerd The VODs will be there. For the future, expect more 3DS streams! Please feel free to follow if you'd like to watch and/or have any questions about the 3DS Capture Card and ordering from Merki.

Thanks Again

Will you suck up Kappa.

I agree with everything deckerd has described. I was present during his and everything looked high quality. Just makes me want to get mine all the sooner.

Hi Wil

I that you made it, but taking off the backplate does not hold the 3DS Capture Card in place anymore and this might result in too much movements for the USB-Port :(

I hope it does hold for a while!

Hey Stefan,

I've secured the chip to the 3DS with Double Sided Tape. If this doesn't work, I'll probably try some form of strong glue.

I'm just concerned about the USB-Port, it is kind of fragile.
If the card is not fixed then you might tend to pull the cord to unplug sideways or so this is what causes the USB-Port to break see here:

If you glue it with something and making it not removable, then a repair might be a problem...
Nothing else...

Well I'll be keeping the 3DS in the CPP permanently with the USB in at all times. I've made sure the cut I've made on the CPP is flush so there is no movement whilst the USB is plugged in.

The only time it will leave the CPP is to change the 3DS carts.

I'm hoping this will keep the risk of damage to a minimum.

Yes it is true, it is well made, only a bit risky for the Capture Card. But if he handels it carefully this should last :)
