3DS and Touchscreen

Hello,
I have an original 3DS I was hoping to get modded; however the touchscreen is faulty and has numerous dead zones, which I hoped to fix myself before sending for modification.

Main problem is 3 of the screws were completely stripped on the inside case, would you still be able to get into and work on the machine? And fit the touchscreen if I were to supply the replacement part in with the system?

Many thanks.

Normally this should work, but you should provide me some pictures so I can better tell...

Repairs I do on your 3DS I will charge you for!

Thanks for the swift reply!

Here's a shot of the worst of the three stripped screws, the rest I managed undo/replace. I've worked on a few of these before, but this has to be the most damage I've seen on a 3DS case screw.

Looks like someone jammed a huge screwdriver in there and chipped away at it.

Strange, from the picture I would say that it is glued back in there...

Basically the screws are pretty bad, they wear out easyly and are pretty tight up by the Nintendo robots during the manufacturing process...

You say someone, isn't this yours?

I believe that I can work with it...

Yeah I usually buy a few from ebay with faults and repair them to re-sell, but this one in particular I set aside so I can stream with. I wish I'd checked it first!

Many thanks! Once I have the money together I'll plan on sending it out, will you message with the extra costs for the additional work?

It will not be much, but I can tell after I have done the work on it...
