3dsXL + Capture Card (English)

Hey!

I'm interested in buying a 3DS with capture card so that I can record the upcoming Pokemon. Now in the shop, the 3DS XL is "Available Soon", but is there any more information about that release date? From what I see in other (English) posts it isn't out yet so my question is as follows:

Do you think the 3DS XL is here anywhere soon or can I better go for the normal 3DS? I mean, if I buy the normal one, it would be irritating for me to see that the XL version is out a week later
